Perform assigned product manufacturing and assembly tasks. - In some of the build tests it was evident some of the candidates we not familiar with or proficient using typical hand tools such as torque wrenches, etc.
* Conduct quality checks on the functionality of parts and components. - We've had recent candidates state they always delegate or escalate quality issues. This is more indicative of an Operator vs a Technician.
* Collaborating with other departments such as Manufacturing Engineering or Quality to complete builds on time. - We need candidates who have experience and are comfortable working across other departments as needed, who have collaborated with engineers and who can effectively communicate any issues they see.
* Troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices, or products. - This is another differentiator between Operators and Technicians - we'd really like to see experience in this area.
* Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with current manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures. - We need people that have had experience building; not just running an existing machine.
* Assist engineers in developing, building, or testing prototypes or new products, processes, or procedures.
* Maintain inventory of job materials.
* Maintain a safe and tidy work environment.
